best maple syrup EVER!

On a leaf peeping visit to Vermont we came across Smugglers Notch Distillery. The ladies in the tasting room were gracious and informative. At their suggestion we sampled the bourbon barrel maple syrup. Oh my gosh...it is like no other maple syrup I have ever tasted. It has a rich bourbon undertone which enhances the flavor tremendously. It was not possible to pack enough bottles in my suitcase so as soon as I was home I ordered more bottles to give as Christmas gifts. The bottles arrived quickly and intact. This will be a go-to future purchase.
